Google Chrome OS isn’t commercially available yet, but already someone’s installed it on an Asus Eee PC T91 touchscreen swivelling netbook. Check out the first ever Google Chrome OS tablet on video right here!

We’ve already given you an early preview of Google Chrome OS running on a virtualised install, but one clever coder’s now got it up and running on a touchscreen Eee PC T91. As you can see in the video, it’s still very early days and needs some major calibration, but we’re excited to see there’s potential for touchscreen Google Chrome OS in the future.


Google Chrome OS: first look!


Towards the end of the demo, the user folds down into tablet mode and carries on prodding it. Microsoft and Apple are both clearly prepping a return to the tablet market, so it’s interesting to see a potential rival to both works in the form factor. Will we be seeing some dedicated tablets shipping with Google Chrome OS? Hit the play button and start daydreaming now – it’s only a matter of time until someone gets this running on a T-Mobile G1…
