TomTomTomTom has come to the rescue for Cumbrian motorists. After the floods took out bridges and closed roads, the satnav supremo has updated TomTom Map Share to factor in the latest traffic alerts in the area for routing and getting you to your destination on time.

If you’re in the area and own a TomTom, be sure to give your maps a refresh by updating them through TomTom Map Share. The latest updates include the detours needed to get around collapsed bridges in Cumbria, including those at Low Lorton, Workington and Little Braithwaite.

To update your TomTom with the latest mapping and road changes, just plug it into your PC, fire up TomTom HOME on your desktop and choose “Update your device”. And with more bad weather forecast, if you’re out on the roads, be sure to do it daily to avoid delays.
