Google Maps Navigation may be about to have the US Android satnav market sewn up (well, it’s free!), but what about elsewhere in the world? Well, while Google gets it act together, Navigon is set to step in with its own Android satnav app, due to launch this year. Read on for the lowdown.
The Navigon Android satnav app will be compatible with all phones running Android 1.5 to 2.0. Feature-wise it’ll likely be similar to the existing Navigon iPhone app, with a few changes here and there to fit in with Android phones’ interface and screen resolution.
Navigon’s Android satnav app will go live on 10 December, and while its pricing has yet to be determined, it’ll probably be similar to the Navigon iPhone app, which costs £54.99.

Co-pilot for Android is £26 so it can be done.
