Back at the beginning of October we had our first glimpse of the Asus Eee Box EB1501, the latest Windows 7-equipped micro desktop to come from the Far East. Well, now it’s finally on sale, a little later than the original late-October date, but still in plenty of time to make an appearance on your Christmas list.
The Asus Eee Box EB1501 boasts a slinky “ballerina-inspired” design that seems light years ahead of the original Eee Box shape, and on the tech front you get a base loadout of a dual core Intel Atom 330 processor, 2GB of memory, 250GB of storage, an integrated IPTV Player and N-standard Wi-Fi.
The Asus Eee Box EB1501 can chuck out 1080p full HD video (via HDMI) and 5.1 surround sound, as well as running fairly quietly and efficiently, which means it should find a place in a lot of home cinema setups.
We’ll endeavour to get our mitts on one soon, so keep your eyes peeled for a full review in the near future.
