Nokia N900The Nokia N900 has hit the skids just days before launch, with anyone looking to get a hold of the Maemo 5 tablet having to stay patient until next month. Why? Because Nokia says demand for the Nokia N900 is too high!

NokNok reports that the Nokia N900’s street sale date has been pushed back until 4 December owing to a crushing demand from Joe Public for the clever slate. Nokia says it will still be honouring pre-orders and pushing them out ASAP, so if you got in there early, your Nokia N900 should be arriving in the next few days.

We’ve been checking out what the Nokia N900 can do on video all week, and just set loose our review on Espoo’s new flagship phone, and while we’re unhappy with the screen’s responsiveness, we can see why people are queuing around the virtual block to get one – it feels like what the N97 should have been thanks to its smart multitasking and solid build.

If all goes to plan you’ll be able to pick up a Nokia N900 SIM-free from 4 December, but you’d better be quick about it if you want to bagsie one.
