Lily AllenLily Allen has made an about turn on her stance on piracy. The singer, who made headlines for starting up her own anti-piracy blog, now says it’s fine to pick up copied CDs of her music – as you long pay a pirate for it.

Speaking to Key 103, she said that the issue at stake wasn’t the money, but the value of her work. “If someone comes up with a burnt copy of my CD and offers it to you for £4 I haven’t a problem with that as long as the person buying it places some kind of value on my music,” she said.

That’s a surprising U turn for the singer, who closed down her It’s Not Alright anti-piracy blog after being barraged with abuse, not least because her new rethink doesn’t address all those pesky online filesharers who never even burn their collections to CD. Does Lily Allen want you to send a seeder on BitTorrent some money over PayPal for her albums?
