Freesat is to launch ITV Player next year, to go alongside BBC iPlayer (which rolls out in beta from next month), and just in time for next year’s X Factor too.
Freesat has confirmed that it is working with ITV to bring ITV Player to the TV service, letting you summon up recent ITV shows on your flatscreen just as you can on your PC now.
Freesat’s released few other details on its plans for ITV Player, but says it will launch in the first half of next year. Come next month, we’ll already have BBC iPlayer on Freesat; now all we need is some Channel 4 action via 4oD, and we’ll be laughing.
