The Sony VAIO X teeny tiny laptop has been given the hackintosh treatment and loaded up with Apple’s OS. This time though, it’s the latest version, Snow Leopard.
One insanelymac forum member, inspired by the quest to get OS X working properly on Sony’s first 2009 ultra portable effort, the Sony VAIO P, has managed to get Snow Leopard fired up on the laptop.

The install process on the Sony VAIO X is exactly the same, and the same image works, although Wi-Fi is still down for the count. Unfortunately, you can’t switch out the wireless card as you can on the VAIO P, since things have been squeezed in tightly to get the Sony VAIO X so skinny.
Still, it’s probably less of a concern on the Sony VAIO X, since Windows 7 doesn’t exactly cripple it in the same way it flattens the poor little VAIO P. If you’re interested, you can find the instructions on how to do it here.
