The Nokia 7230 is fresh of the Finnish production line this morning, following hot on the heels of the new Nokia 6700 Slide. And what a second act it is. As well as a decent set of all-round specs, this bargain handset comes with Facebook, Flickr and Ovi integration, and at the bargain price of £90 too.
The Nokia 7230 is a Series 40 device, so don’t expect true smart phone chops like that other new Nokia phone, but inside there’s still a 3.2 megapixel camera, 2.4 inch screen and a micro SD card slot, stuffed with a 2GB slab of memory, straight out of the box.
The real story, however, is that then Nokia 7230 comes primed to tap into your social networks. Nokia has built Facebook and Flickr support into the handset, as well as dishing up its own Ovi services.
Battery life is reasonable too, with the 7230 staying alive for 14 days on standby. And the price? A mere €100 when it goes on sale in March 2010. That’s £90 SIM-free to you, squire.
