New Apple iMac gets a ColorWare makeover

Is the new Apple iMac too subdued for you? Do you find the brushed aluminium and black edge to edge screen a bit bland? Time to tart it up with ColorWare‘s latest recoat – and the Magic Mouse is coming along for the ride.

You can count on ColorWare to give a new Apple product a lick of kaleidoscopic colour (Remember the pink iPhone?), and now it’s come through with colour options for the 27-inch Apple iMac. The colour range is completely up to you and you can virtually skin your own Apple iMac on ColorWare’s website for free.

New iPod shuffle now in nano colours

A full on Apple iMac makeover is a bit too garish for our tastes, but ColorWare is also offering the new multitouch Magic Mouse in the same bewildering variety of shades.

If you live in the US, you can send one you’ve bought in for a $30 (£18) recoat, but us folk in the UK have to buy a brand new one from ColorWare made to order for $99 (£60) plus shipping. That’s not a bad deal for a seriously slick mouse in a colour Steve Jobs doesn’t want you to have, so if you’re interested, you can tailor yours to taste here.
