Limber up those thumbs Twitter fans, Vodafone’s just dished up the latest retweet feature to mobile phones. Forwarding your mates’ latest rambling is now as quick as pinging off a quick text.
Twitter added its own retweet button earlier this week, but now Vodafone’s got its own version for phones. To use the service, Vodafone customers just need to send “RT twitter username” to 86444. So to RT the most recent message from @VodafoneUK, you would type “RT VodafoneUK”.
It’s as simple as that, with tweets charged at the standard network rate, or subtracted from your tariff’s text allowance.
You’ll get a free confirmation text though, and as ever, Vodafone customers also receive Twitter text messages free of charge.
