Photo-Sharing-SitesGot rafts of snaps you want to share with the world? Then you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to photo sharing sites. Whether you want the mainstream delights of Picasa and Flickr, prints from Kodak, or the tag-friendly delights of Facebook, we’ve got it covered. Check out our photo sharing site supertest now for the full skinny.

flickrFlickr
Flickr has had its fair share of issues this week, but it remains the king of photo sharing sites. All you need is a Yahoo! ID and you can get started. A standard account will let you upload photos up to 10MB and videos up to 150MB, which you can either share with the world or invite your pals for a private viewing. You can also set up groups to share images and video with.

picasaPicasa
Google’s Picasa is Flickr’s big time rival. Because the Big G’s behind it, it ties in with other cloud-based classics too. You can geo tag your pics in Google Maps using the Places button, add name tags (in a nod to Facebook) and easily add quick tags so people can find your handiwork in a jiffy. Think of it as an iPhoto alternative, as well as a capable photo sharing service.

photobucketPhotobucket
Murdoch’s Photobucket is a cracker, offering more than just a place to stash snaps online. There’s one-click posting to Facebook, a la iPhoto, as well as Blogger and iGoogle. Best of all you can build slide shows to embed in blogs or scrap books which you can print yourself. You can also set albums to private view, keeping out snoopers.

facebookFacebook
Tag-tasic snaps have been the bane of everyone’s life since Facebook went mainstream, showing all your workmates what your got up to on last weekend’s stag do. But as a photo sharing site, it’s a stunner. You can make albums public and show the world snaps of your cat, or how you look dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween, or just show them to selected friends. There are no limits on uploading either and you can always untag yourself in any unsightly shots.

kodakKodak Gallery
Print-friendly doesn’t even cover Kodak Gallery. You can upload snaps direct from your PC, iPhone and even Facebook. Then you can choose who sees what and even track who’s looking just in case. There’s easy print buying, and you can apply settings such as size, tints and paper type on the fly.

twitpicTwitpic
Photo sharing for the Twitter generation. Use your Twitter account to log in and then upload shots from your phone or on the Twitpic site itself. More of a social networking tool than a home for all your snaps, this is about instant sharing with all your followers, when 140 characters can’t say what a killer photo can.
