Yup, afraid so, and the Microsoft staff I spoke to about it were unapologetic, saying it added “value” to the Gold subscription. Frankly, I think it just means Xbox Live is now the most expensive Twitter client on the planet.

That’s free too, so I see your point. We certainly haven’t been paid though! We’ll also be on hand at the launch of the UK video store for PS3, rest assured.

Why would you assume we’d been paid? Do you have a receipt? Honestly, I’d love to be paid for every story we write. I’d be in the Bahamas now if we did.

We try and give even handed treatment to all new launches (assuming they’re news worthy). If you don’t want to see any mention of Microsoft, I’m afraid you’re in the wrong place. Sony’s update will indeed get a mention, but as yet we haven’t seen it in the flesh. I hope you are going to give the PS3 offering and HD movie store equal coverage? Or does it depend on how much Microsoft/Sony are willing to pay?

So in short, this only really delivers what I can already do in the PS3 browser (i.e. view photos on facebook on the console).

Sounds like the PS3 Facebook offering thats coming soon in 3.1, actually offers more, as I can post trophies store purchases (so my friends know what I buy) and game information to facebook too.
