WiiWareWiiWare, Nintendo’s online game download service, starts offering free tasters from today with the launch of a new download demo service.

Starting today, you’ll be able to try out snippets of WiiWare games for free before you buy, including big name titles such as Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles: My Life As A Darklord, Bit.Trip Beat and NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits.

The WiiWare demos are all available from the main Wii Shop Channel page, but you can check fro new additions by heading over to the WiiWare subsection and peeping the Demo genre.

Curiously, Nintendo is only offering the WiiWare download demo service for a limited period (until the end of January), which seems a bit strange when the PS3 and Xbox offer full game demos around the clock. Here’s to Nintendo making the freebie WiiWare offering permanent soon.
