LG SL9000We just had a peep at the LG SL9000 LED backlit TV, and it’s nothing short of stunning. Not got the space for a flatscreen in the 40-inch range in your pad though? Not to worry: LG’s told us it’ll be rolling out the tech to its entire line, and that the SL9000 is “just the start”.

We spoke to George Mead, TV marketing manager for home entertainment at LG, and he told us that we’d see LED tech in screens of all sizes from the South Korean company. “Next year we’ll go from 19-inch all the way up to 55-inch…this is just the start for LG,” he told us.

That’s good news for anyone planning on giving the TV in their bedroom a pumped up picture, and with prices already approaching £1,000 for the epic 42-inch display, you should be able to pick them up for a lot less too. We’ll shout up as and when LG releases more LED TVs to go alongside the LG SL9000.
