We’ve seen plenty of phones and PMPs claiming to be HD over the last year, but the Hallods F43 is the first we’ve seen to claim actual high def playback on its 4.3-inch screen. Want to know more about it? Keep reading, squire.
Both the Zune HD and Archos 5 Android tablet can output 720p video to a TV, but the Hallods F43 can handle that pin sharp picture on its own display, thanks to a 1280×720 resolution and HD video support. You won’t be able to stock up on apps, iPod touch stylee, but the Hallods F43 will play back MP4, FLV, H.263, AVI and DivX viddies off of the 8GB of internal storage, which you can bolster with a microSD slot.

Unfortunately, the Hallods F43 is Japan only for the time being, but Akihabara News says you should see it popping up on importer GeekStuff4U soon for an as yet undisclosed sum – here’s to similar tech making it to the West soon.
