15-inch Vega Android tablet incoming!

2010 is going to be quite the year for Google tablets. The first Android tablet is already on sale, but there are plenty more planned, and now another to add to the shopping list, the Vega Android tablet: a giant, 15-inch keyboardless computer with 3G and top graphics shoved in. Who needs an Apple tablet?

From Innovative Converged Devices (ICD), the Vega will come in three sizes, 7, 11 and 15 inch (HD resolution), pack Wi-Fi, 3G, microSD, 3.5mm audio, and although its 512MB RAM won’t compete with a laptop of the same size, the NVIDIA Tegra graphics on board should keep anyone keen to munch on web pages and streaming video through Android 2.0 happy.

We’re told the Vega Android tablet will be out in 2010 with network subscription packages available, and that it’ll be on show at CES 2010 in Las Vegas in January. Us Brits are likely to be obliged with a Vega Android tablet release, as ICD’s offices are here in Blighty, but the company says release will be global too. We’re doing some digging for more details now and will update as and when we get them, but in the meantime, check out the Vega Android tablet here in our gallery – do you need a tablet this big?

In this instance, I suspect the Vega will only be available on network subscriptions too! Maybe a 4-inch phone tablet instead is what you want? The HTD HD2 is hot, and Archos has something similar planned.
