UPDATE: The content for the new Reader Pocket editions is still up in the air, Sony tells us. We’ll update when finalised.
UPDATE 2: Yup, it’s official, and the line up of eBooks on board hasn’t changed.
Yes, you read that properly. There’s a Sony Reader Pocket Mills & Boon edition, celebrating the pulp fiction publisher’s “romance” novels. If this doesn’t take e-readers mass market, nothing will.
The Sony Reader Pocket Mills & Boon edition is a recoloured version of the teensy e-reader, with the same glorious 5-inch display, but a garish rose pink finish, and a leather case with the Mills & Boon logo embossed.
Sony Reader Pocket: all the official photos!
Not only that, but the Sony Reader Pocket Mills & Boon edition comes with three eBooks from the company (Snowbound: Miracle Marriage, Under The Boss’s Mistletoe and Christmas Betrothals, if you’re asking) and a voucher to download ten more, which should keep any addicts content for a good long while.
What next? A Sony Reader Pocket Dan Brown edition? There’s probably enough processing power in one to generate the plotline to his next book, after all. You’ll find the Sony Reader Pocket Mills & Boon edition in shops in time for Christmas.
