We discourage people from using our snapshots. They've had no testing and are often broken, plus manual updating is painful. Mac users who want to try Chromium now should instead use the Dev channel, which _does_ have some testing and automatically updates. See http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=mac .

That's what's been putting me off so far. Thinking about making the jump now though.

Excellent - you can get daily developer builds of chromium from google for the Mac: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/chromium-rel-mac/ - It works great!

I'm looking forward to Chrome so that I can have a better way of updating, without downloading a new zip every week.

Cannot wait. Chrome is so much faster than Firefox 3.5 on my PC, and it's the little things like how smooth tab re-arranging is that have got me itching for a full beta on Mac.
