There’s a new Scosche iPod shuffle case out on sale, but it’s not just any regular cover for MP3 player owners with butterfingers. It’s designed specifically for the iPod shuffle 3G, and comes with controls buttons on board, so you can use your own earphones, and still tell the pico tune chucker what to play!
Cast your mind back to March when the new iPod shuffle first appeared, and you’ll remember the controversy the new buttonless design caused: namely, if you couldn’t stand Apple’s supplied cans, or didn’t have the ear shape to hold them in your head, you were stuffed. Scosche’s new tapSTICK iPod shuffle case gets round that by bringing you physical buttons to press once more.

The Scosche tapSTICK slides onto the iPod shuffle, and while it makes it slightly longer in size, it also means your own 3.5mm headphones can go straight in, with all the controls replicated with buttons on the side, including the voice description of a song.
It’s actually a much better solution than the simple adaptors we were promised by iPod accessory cobblers at launch, since you won’t have to remember to carry it around or the time, and risk it coming apart while jogging. The Scosche tapSTICK iPod shuffle case is out now, priced £24.95.
