While everyone obsesses over Modern Warfare 2 (from its stellar sales to its controversial moments), the game that inspired the creation of Infinity Ward – Medal Of Honor – looks set to return for the first time since 2009. So what should you expect in 2010? Read on and see…
During an earnings call which focused mainly on Need For Speed, EA Games label president Frank Gibeau revealed that the firm has turned its focus back to some of its more neglected franchises and Medal of Honor is among them.
Gibeau said: “In the months ahead, you’ll hear more about our plans to revitalise core IP, including the Medal of Honor franchise.” Rumours suggest that Medal of Honor could return with a new installment set in the modern day to fight Modern Warfare 2 head on.
Medal of Honor has been AWOL since 2007′s three releases – Medal of Honor: Airborne, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and Medal of Honor: Vanguard. It certainly seems like it’s about time for the series to shape up and ship out once more. But can it compete with the runaway success of Call of Duty?
