Google meets TwitterGoogle revealed it was working on a faster search engine with more real-time results back in August. Now it seems it’s almost ready to roll out Google Caffeine. Read on to see whether Google’s new brew will be to your taste…

Google Caffeine isn’t about the search engine’s look, instead it’s a change to the underlying architecture to speed up indexing, increase accuracy and make search results more comprehensive. Google Caffeine was previously available as a developer preview but that’s disappeared now.

Where Google Caffeine once was, you’ll find an announcement that it will go live as part of Google’s main search page soon. The message says:

Based on the success we’ve seen, we believe Caffeine is ready for a larger audience. Soon we will activate Caffeine more widely, beginning with one data center…

As well as improving the indexing, accuracy and comprehensiveness of search results, Google Caffeine is expected to grab info more quickly to give Google some real-time bite. Add Google’s deal with Twitter to include tweets in its results and you’ll get a far faster, smarter search engine.
