Other than the new paint job, you won’t spot too many differences on the Olympus E-P2 from a distance. On the outside though, the major addition is slot to strap on a new Olympus electronic view finder, or an external mic for better sound when shooting viddy.
Olympus E-P2: more details emerge
Also included in the 12.3 megapixel Olympus E-P2 is AF tracking, and a now i-Enhance “colour boosting” feature, as well as two new filters. It’s a modest upgrade, yes, but a welcome one for anyone looking to make use of the 720p HD video shooting mode and pick up proper sound.
The Olympus E-P2 will hit stores from January for around £849 with with a 14-42mm lens kit, but the Olympus E-P1 will still stay on sale alongside it. Stay tuned for more nearer launch as we go hands-on.
