The Dell Adamo XPS wafer thin laptop just got made official, with specs and a release planned for gadget heads right here in Britain. When you say? And what’s inside? Read on for the answers.
Dell’s teased the 13.4-inch Dell Adamo XPS to death already, but the super slim laptop, which comes in at just under a centimetre in thickness, is finally official. As you can see from the official shots, it’s a curiously shaped number, with a buttress that makes the keyboard rise up at an angle.

Specs-wise, the Dell Adamo XPS will run Windows 7 on a 1.4Ghz Core 2 Duo processor, and stuff in a 128GB SSD and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. Dell UK says it’ll be out on these fair shores before Christmas, but can’t give a price just yet, though cats in the US will have to fork out $,1799 (£1,090) for the privilege of popping one open.
That’s sans tax, but compare that to a MacBook Air (Which starts at £1,149), and the Dell Adamo XPS looks like a reasonably priced rival with decent number of USB ports. And more air. We’ll let you know as soon as the Dell Adamo XPS gets priced and dated for the UK, but rest assured, if you’ve been extra good this year, you’ll be able to put it on the list for Santa.
