The CoPilot Live iPhone app is sitting pretty on top of the top grossing pile on the App Store right now, but ALK isn’t letting the satnav software sit on its laurels. It’s just chucked out another update for it, and this one brings iPod controls inside the app, so you can tune your music on the move.
The latest CoPilot Live for iPhone update, version 8.0.0.469 if you’re asking, adds extra tweaks like improved GPS performance, but the big new feature is in-app iPod access, so you won’t be mincing around with the Home button to get your tunes up and running. The UI isn’t so pretty, but when you should be keeping your eyes on the road, surely big buttons are all that should matter?

The CoPilot Live iphone app update is completely free and ready to download now, but ALK says there’s still more to come in future, including in-app payment for Live services, and the ability to pause or quieten music during voice navigation instructions. The company also promises more goodies based on customer feedback, so if you’ve downloaded CoPilot Live for iPhone, don’t be afraid to tell it what you think on Twitter so everyone else can chime in too.
