Legend Of ZeldaThe next, as yet untitled, installment of the Legend Of Zelda series on the Nintendo Wii will use Wii Motionplus for sword fighting and targeting. Read on to find out more about Link’s next quest…

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has announced that the next game in the Zelda series will make use of the  Wii MotionPlus add-on to increase the accuracy of sword combat and targeting.

“We’re using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand,” Miyamoto said.

He continued: “In previous installments, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen but this time we’re using MotionPlus to create a more convenient targeting system.”

Nintendo hasn’t revealed whether Wii MotionPlus will be a requirement for the game or simply a desirable extra. Could suped-up sword play be enough to wake Wii sales up again?
