Orange only slapped up its iPhone prices yesterday, but now Vodafone is trying to drum up a bit of interest for the device it’s not getting until 2010. The network is promising some “iPhone surprises” over the next few weeks to anyone who signed up for pre-registration info. Just what could they be?
If you’ve signed up to get emails about the iPhone 3Gs and 3G on Vodafone, chances are you’ll have received a mail out recently informing you that Vodafone will “be emailing you some iPhone surprises over the next few weeks. Keep an eye out for our essential iPhone guide, which will be helping you unlock the full potential of your iPhone on the Vodafone network.”
Vodafone nabs the iPhone for 2010
The iPhone surprises could of course simply be Vodafone undercutting O2 by two pennies instead of just one, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for something much more tasty. Free tethering perhaps? O2 currently charges the price of a USB 3G dongle for iPhone tethering, so it wouldn’t be hard to beat that.
Vodafone has also said it wants to bring its Vodafone 360 services to the iPhone too, so you never know, it could be that social network infused address book you’ve been dreaming of.
Whatever the surprises are, you’ll be able to take advantage of them when the iPhone goes on sale on Vodafone early next year.
