The Orange iPhone price plans may have dashed any dreams of a true price war on the world’s favourite smartphone, with tariffs eerily echoing O2‘s, but there is one glimmer of hope for anyone looking to make savings. Orange has outed its iPhone tethering price plans for mobile broadband on your laptop, and they’re a good sight cheaper!
O2 currently charges the same price per month for hooking your iPhone up to pump 3G into your computer as it does for USB dongles that do the same – £14.68 for 3GB and £29.36 for 10 gigs – but for pay monthly Orange iPhone tariffs, 3GB costs just £4.89. That’s almost a tenner less!
Orange iPhone pricing revealed
Business Orange iPhone users gets a slightly better deal, with tethering on almost every tariff from £4.25 per month, and unlimited data chomping on the Business Infinity £95 per calendar page tariff.
When it comes to iPhone costs, we’ll take any saving, although it’s worth remembering tethering is completely subscription free on other mobile platforms like Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Android. Vodafone, the ball’s in your court now, so let’s see a price slice please.
