The Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 is the Danish design firm’s latest desktop phone, and while you might think landlines are clunky and cumbersome, it’s got looks as well as features to change your mind. Keep reading and we’ll clue you in, as well as giving you an up-close peep.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 perches on a magnetised dock. It’s part display case, part speakerphone system. Snatch it free, and you’ll see it’s more than just a landline: it’ll work with two phone lines as well as VoIP.
There’s a backlit keypad, and each handset has its own colour theme which lights up as its held, so you can have more than one in the house and not confuse them.

As you’d expect, the Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 integrates with other BeoCom phones in the same house, and in standby mode away from its dock it’ll last 100 hours between charges.
Take a look in our hands-on gallery. The Bang & Olufsen BeoCom 5 just made us think twice about using our landline again.
