Ericsson Spider

Ericsson Spider

Ericsson has revealed its concept of the PC of 2020. So what will our computers look like in 10 years? Well, no keyboard, no screen, just projections. Keep reading for a peek at the possible future.

The Ericsson Spider ditches a traditional screen and keyboard in favour of a picoprojector and a laser-projected keyboard.

Ericsson predicts that the guts required to run the computer will be far smaller allowing the extremely slim cylindrical body with tripod legs that make it look a little War Of The Worlds.

The concept is part laptop/part desktop with enough portability to pick it up combined with a pico-projector that Ericsson predicts will be capable of projecting a 60in display by 2020. The 10 year time lag should also mean enough time to create a laser keyboard that actually doesn’t suck.

With its aluminum body, surely this is the kind of design that the father of the iMac, Apple’s Jonathan Ive, would approve of.
