Samsung OLED netbook spotted

Categories: Computers & Accessories News

Samsung OLED netbookSamsung loves sticking OLED displays into everything from phones and cameras to laptops, and the South Korean giant’s just shown off another bit of gear with the beautiful screen tech stuffed in: a 7-inch netbook.

Nokia Booklet 3G aside, we’ve seen little in the way of new netbook kit over the last few months, but Samsung’s OLED little laptop, shown at the FDP tradeshow in Japan this week blasts all its rival out of the water when it comes to beauty.

At seven inches across, this Samsung netbook is roughly the same size as the original Eee PC, so unless you’ve got dinky digits, typing may prove a bit of a chore. Slap on a movie though on the train and you’re sorted, we say.

Unfortunately, there are no current plans to release this Samsung OLED netbook/smart-book, but the company still maintains we’ll be seeing OLED laptops hit the market next year. Bring it on.
