The stunning Olympus Pen E-P1 is one of our favourite cameras of 2009. But just months after we fell for its old-school charm, it’s getting a successor. Yep, the Olympus Pen E-P2 is coming, and news of its release is there for all to see on Olympus’s official site.
Recent rumours said that the new Olympus Pen E-P2 would come draped in the same retro finery but with a viewfinder for even better pics. While Olympus hasn’t come clean with any specs, it has listed the camera on its Chinese website.

Underneath the listing for the original, there’s a mention of an “Olympus Pen E-P2 – New!” That leaves just the details in the dark, although those are due to land at an event Olympus as lined up for 31 October.
If it’s anything like the Olympus Pen E-P1, the Olympus Pen E-P2 will be a winner. Albeit with a price tag to induce tears.
