Google has just unleashed its playable music search tool across the pond. The new service, first trumpeted last week, lets you search tunes, get streaming track links and gives you the chance to buy music in just a couple of clicks. Check out the video now to see it in action.
Google playable music search looks an absolute treat. All you need to do is tap in an artist name, song title or even a lyric and it’ll throw up the tune you’re after. From there you can use iLike or Lala to play tunes via one click and even but them there and then.

There’s also additional access to streaming services like Pandora and Rhapsody, giving you artist pages and recommended songs, so you don’t keep listening to the same old poodle rock over and over.
Unfortunately, this is a US only effort at the moment, with the Big G yet to strike deals with labels and streaming sites outside the States. Between Google playable music search and Google Maps Navigation, us Brits are in for a long wait for some of the coolest new apps out there. Bummer.
