It’s rare for us to get this excited about a console getting a new lick of paint – after all, it happens all the time. But the black Nintendo Wii really is an improvement over the tacky white shell of the regular motion sensing games box. That noir veneer is super polished, and while it’s a fingerprint magnet, it’ll look perfectly conspicuous next to your piano black Blu-ray player and set top boxes under the telly.
Black Nintendo Wii gets UK price and date
We also got some face time with the new black Nintendo Wii controllers, which go on sale separately from 20 November. Again, they’re glossy affairs, but ones you won’t want to let go of.
The black Nintendo Wii bundle goes on sale from 6 November, but get a close look at it right here in our unboxathon first. Bye bye Fisher-Price white!
