eee-pc-seashell-win-7Windows 7‘s only been out a few hours, but already Asus has loaded up the sexy Eee PC Seashell with Microsoft’s next-gen OS. Packing in similar specs as the XP model, the newbie has started rolling out in the Far East already.

The Windows 7 Eee PC Seashell naturally looks the part, but it’s under the hood where this dinky little wonder comes into its own. With Windows 7 Starter chucked in, it actually costs more than the XP edition out in Japan (around £330), but we’re willing to forgive that for a helping of the excellent OS.

The top end Windows 7 Eee PC Seashell comes with an Intel Atom, bluetooth, 10.1-inc screen and a 250GB HDD. You can pick up a cheaper model with 160GB HDD too. The battery life is down to 8.4 hours, but that’d not exactly a hardship when you’re running a superior system.

UK release dates are yet to be confirmed, but expect them to be heading here very soon indeed.
