Say, if you’ve just picked up a Palm Pre? You’re in luck: the social network is testing a new homepage designed specifically for touchscreen phone browsers, and it works a treat. Read on to find out how to log on.

Head on over to http://touch.facebook.com and you’ll find a new layout for Facebook specifically designed for touchscreen blowers, with huge icons even the chubbiest of digits will be able to drill down through, and an easy to use layout, with home, profile, friends and inbox tabs along the top, and sub-sections below.


Facebook iPhone app: push notifications incoming


It’s so well laid out, that if you’re not bothered about features like Facebook address book connect and push notifications, you won’t even mind about missing Facebook apps. Just log-in and save it as a favourite and you’re good to go, whether you’re on an Orange Vegas or a Samsung Tocco Ultra. Palm Pre owners can look forward to an official Facebook webOS app in the near future too, but for now, this is the next best thing.
