adamoThe Dell Adamo has been given a quick tickle, getting its insides upgraded ahead of the launch of the spanking new Dell Adamo XPS on 22 October. Both the Admire and Desire models have got slick new specs, with costs way down from those eye watering launch prices.

The Dell Adamo Desire, the top notch version, now packs in a 2.1Ghz Core 2 Duo processor and a 256GB SSD. The price is still stonking, at £1,899. But that’s a darn sight lower than the original £2,249.

Dell Adamo XPS hitting 22 October

The cheaper, £1,099 Dell Adamo Admire now rocks a 1.4Ghz Intel chip, with a 256GB SSD in the US, and comes with Windows 7 chucked in. However, a cursory check of the Dell UK store shows the Admire still rocking a 128GB SSD and Vista on this side of the pond.

We’re onto Dell to clarify when you’ll be able to lay your hands on a Dell Adamo with Windows 7. Although chances are the slick new Dell Adamo XPS may he caught your eye by then.
