Fresh from unleashing a new iMac, Apple has just shown off its slick new Magic Mouse. Packing in the same multitouch tech found in the iPhone, it means you’ll never need to worry about finding enough space on your desktop to shuffle a mouse around.
The Magic Mouse has long been rumoured and it really does look as sharp as could be expected. The entire top surface is touch sensitive, so you can use one finger to zip about the screen of your Mac, or multi finger gestures to rotate pics and scroll through docs.

Apple says you’ll be able to use your own gestures on the Magic Mouse by setting them up through system preferences in OS X Snow Leopard. Make sure you’re rocking OS X 10.5.8 or later though, or it won’t work.

It’s almost like setting your iPhone down next to your computer and using that to control it. It just needs a laser tracker built into it.
I’m interested to know about the build quality – I’ve absolutely despised previous Apple mice for their weak, clacky, feel. Hopefully this will make amends, because man, does it look cool!
