Apple has made good on today’s rumours, unleashing two new iMac models. One rocks a hearty 21.5-inch screen, the other a stonking 27-inches. There’s also a slew of tweaks under the hood which promise to make them the best iMacs ever.
Each new iMac rocks a 16:9 screen, reportedly a hangover from initial plans to stick a Blu-ray drive on board, something which is sadly missing. That said, you can still get involved with HD flicks, with the 21.5-inch screen version rocking a 1920×1080 resolution, while its older bro’ touts an awesome 2560×1440 display.

Underneath the now all-aluminium frame are a slew of new extras too. The 21.5-inch model comes with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics or ATI Radeon HD 4670 if you’re that way inclined. The 27 inch model only rocks ATI graphics, presumably due to tensions between Apple and NVIDIA.
Each model rocks 4GB of RAM, SD support, Firewire, four USB ports, Wi–Fi, as well as Apple’s killer new multitouch mouse and a wireless keyboard. The 21.5-inch model starts at £949 with the 27-inch kicking off at £1,349.
