UPDATE: The Three Spotify tariff for the HTC Hero will launch in early November, we’ve confirmed. The link to register your interest before then is here.
Three and Spotify have just ‘fessed up and made a spectacular new music streaming tariff official, along with the network’s first Android phone: the HTC Hero! Read on for all the facts and figures.
Just as reported last week, Three and Spotify have struck a deal to bundle in Spotify Premium into the monthly bill for the HTC Hero phone. You already know what to expect from HTC’s elite Android phone, but for £99 up front and £35 a month for two years thereafter, you’ll get 750 minutes of cross network minutes, unlimited texts, data and free Three to Three calls, and wait for it…two whole years of Spotify Premium access on your phone, PC or Mac.
Three inking deal with Spotify for Premium tariffs?
The £35 a month Three Spotify tariff stretches on for 24 months, but bear in mind you’re getting a service worth just under £240 thrown in, which will stream almost any tune you like over 3G, and even cache playlists in advance for listening on the train or underground.
Three hasn’t given a release date for the HTC Hero and Spotify bundle, but you can register your interest here when the site goes live soon, so stay tuned for updates.
