Nintendo is hard at work on a new Mario game. Not a scurrilous rumour, but word direct from the tubby plumber himself. Well, the man who provides his voice. So what exactly is this all new Mario game?
Charles Martinet, who provides the voice for everyone’s favourite Ninty character, has spilt the beans via Twitter, using the social network to hint at the mustachioed icon’s plans.
“Awesome new Mario Game! And it’s not NSMB (new Super Mario Bros) Wii, and it’s not Galaxy 2, but it’s going to be crazy fun!”
Sadly that doesn’t narrow it down, although there’s been plenty of web chatter about a full-on tie up with Sega and Sonic. Not just an Olympic–based romp but something which truly marries the two classic characters.
We’ll have to wait and see, but any new Mario game will follow Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros, both on their way soon.
