It’s taken more than ten months, but the Palm Pre has finally arrived in Britain. It’s on sale today on O2, and we’ve got all the coverage you need right here.
The Palm Pre, the first fruits of Palm’s efforts to hoist itself out of the doldrums with webOS, is finally out in Blighty as of today. It’s exclusive to O2 (unlike the iPhone, shortly), and will be free on 24-month contracts, and £96.89 on the cheapest of the shorter 18-month tariffs.
For your money, you’ll get the closest thing to an iPhone rival there is out there right now, as we said in a review. Sure, there’s only 8GB of storage in the Palm Pre and the app support is in its infancy, but can you put a price on a smartphone that actually multitasks? Yes, we mean you Apple.
