Our friends over at Fonehome have been playing around with a BlackBerry Storm 2 on camera, like the voyeurs they are. You can see just how smooth typing is on the BlackBerry Storm 2 thanks to the updated SurePress tech, as well as how much smoother RIM has made BlackBerry OS. We’re big fans of how fluid scrolling, stopping, starting and swiping are now.

    It really does look smoother there and not like you need to force the buttons into submission before they actually work. I hated the clickety clackety touchpad of the previous version. Look forward to trying this out myself.

    It’ll definitely take practice, but I’ve seen more than one person typing blisteringly fast on it. That said, I think merging the call/reject/menu/back buttons was a bad move. I found it very difficult to push the back button, which is kind of crucial!
