We’ve already had a hands-on sesh with the BlackBerry Storm 2, but we’ve hoovered up some official photos for you here too, along with specs and pricing.
If you’re itching to know about the innards, the BlackBerry Storm 2 packs a 3.25-inch, 320×480 display, with GPS, Bluetooth, HSDPA and Wi-Fi, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. On board, there’s 256MB RAM, but the big news is 2GB of internal storage to go with a microSD slot, so you have double the space to install apps. We’ve had a first play with the BlackBerry Storm 2, and found it to be a big improvement over the original, largely due to the new SurePress tech: the screen now locks up when powered off, and allows for faster typing by letting you push down before the screen has completely popped up from the last press.
BlackBerry Storm 2 hands-on photo overload!
Vodafone will be the first to sell the BlackBerry Storm 2 in the UK, and in terms of pricing, you’ll be able to pick it up for free on a 24 month, £35 a month contract with 600 minutes. That’s a bit more than predicted by the Guardian earlier this week, but from our first play, doesn’t sound extortionate.
Out October | £from free on contract | BlackBerry and Vodafone
