The Flip Mino HD has been given a complete overhaul, cramming in tons of new features. Its makers, Pure Digital, will hope it’ll keep the threat of the video-packing new iPod nano at bay, not to mention the likes of the Toshiba Camileo S10.
Take a quick look and the new Flip Mino HD doesn’t look that much different from its ageing older brother. However, under the hood there’s been a much-needed bump. There’s now 8GB of storage for two hours of video, the chance to stick your clips straight on Facebook and a Magic Movie feature for instant editing.

Elsewhere, the screen on the new Flip Mino HD has jumped from 1.5 to 2 inches, addressing a major gripe with the older model. Plus there’s no HDMI for serving up your videos straight to you HDTV.
The new Flip Mino HD has been slapped with a $229 (£143) price tag over in the States, where it goes on sale later this month. Plans for a UK release remain elusive, so stay tuned for details as we get them.
