We love Sonos, but the multi-room audio rig has been expensive to fork out for until now: for £349, the Sonos Zoneplayer S5 bundles in everything but the remote you need to get up and running.

Yes, the Sonos Zoneplayer S5 will stream music over Wi-Fi from your PC or NAS box just like any other Sonos Zoneplayer, and will even play back from an iPod plugged into the analog audio input. But thanks to the 5-driver speaker system built in, you won’t need to fiddle around hooking the Sonos Zoneplayer S5 up to your sound system, just get it out of the box and begin.
Sonos’s aim with the Sonos Zoneplayer S5 is to make the service more affordable, as anyone armed with an iPod touch and the free Sonos app won’t have to pay for the pricey but god-like remote, just the up front fee. But for anyone already lucky enough to own a Sonos system, it’s a great, easy way to add more rooms too.
