Sky News is to begin streaming its broadcast channel live and free around the clock online, so you’ll be able to get the latest headlines whenever, even without a Sky subscription.
Starting today, Sky News is broadcasting the TV channel for free over the interwebz, and to go with it, there’s also a new Sky News video player, which doesn’t require a log-in to view, and streams at a higher bit-rate. You’ll see the option to stream the channel in a tab to the right of Top Stories. It’s quick to load and plays from straight within the browser.

Sky News is available to watch online for nada in the UK and Republic of Ireland, so if you’re looking for Freeview alternatives since the recent retune, it’s another one for the list.
