Sky SongsSky Songs, the satellite TV titan’s new subscription music service, has been stamped and dated for release. Want to know how much this download and streaming app will set you back per page on the calendar? Read on!

Sky Songs, which has deals with all the four big record labels, will launch on 19 October. In terms of tariffs, the lower £6.49 a month will get you one £6.49 album or 10 tracks to download and keep from Sky Songs, and unlimited streaming from the entire catalogue of more than 4million tracks, while £7.99 a month will get you one album in the more expensive bracket, or 15 songs, plus streaming again. Single tracks will start from 65p, and existing Sky broadband customers will get a free album when they join.

That’s compared to the £9.99 a month streaming service Spotify would like you to pay for its premium package, which offers no downloads, although does now come coupled with some stunning mobile apps.

The Sky Songs site has still yet to fully launch, but heading on over to the Sky Songs homepage now shows a teaser snap of what the portal will look like, and it’s mighty tasty, if not a bit similar to Nokia Comes With Music. Sky, Give us an iPhone app and we’re sold.
