Sharp’s latest calculator isn’t just any old non-scientific electric abacus. No no. This little numberpad can tot up your brain age, just like the hit Nintendo DS game, Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training.
The Sharp EL-T100W is a regular calculator with a twist: it comes with mental arithmetic drills and quizzes embedded, which can work out your brain age by checking statistical data on the time it takes you to work out equations thrown your way. Whether it marks you down for typing out 5318008 and turning it upside down remains to be seen.
Sharp LE600 and LE700 TVS unveiled
Sharp’s even gone so far as to market the Sharp EL-T100W as a “Brain Trainer”. It won’t play any other games like a DS will of course, but at £13.49, it’s just a tenth of the price of Nintendo’s dual screen console. How about some downloadable apps next, Sharp?
