Microsoft‘s Windows security update that rolls out tomorrow will be its biggest ever, fixing a host of loopholes and flaws to make sure pesky cyber-criminals can’t take your machine for a joyride.
Microsoft’s patches for Windows, which will be available through Microsoft Update, include 13 bulletins addressing 34 vulnerabilities across different OSs and apps like Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.
Windows Mobile: multitouch incoming!
One of the “critical” fixes is for Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7, which launches on 22 October. Microsoft rarely gives as much detail in advance of its updates, but the size and importance of the update (Eight of the bulletins are ranked as critical) has prompted it to explain to make sure users upgrade.
You should be able to get the Microsoft update automatically, but if not, a quick visit to Microsoft’s security site will do the trick.
